Plan A build it in-house
Plan B hand it to an agency
Plan C engineers who ship
We build AI integrations, web platforms, and mobile apps for teams that have already spent a year on a project that never shipped.
Senior engineers only, two-week sprints that each end in working software, and your team in the repository from day one.
What we build
- AI integration
-
We put a model where it pays for itself, then show the numbers that prove it. That usually means retrieval over your own documents, agents wired into the tools your team already uses, and an evaluation harness that makes quality a measurement rather than an opinion.
- Web platforms
-
We build products your own developers can keep extending after we leave. In practice that means a design system they can work from, tests that catch real regressions, and a migration path off whatever is holding you back today.
- Mobile apps
-
One codebase, both stores, and a release process that does not depend on any one person’s laptop. We ship to TestFlight in the first sprint, so you are reacting to the real app early rather than to a slide about it.
- Systems & data
-
The plumbing nobody demos and everybody depends on. We connect systems that were never designed to talk to each other, build pipelines you can trust, and add enough observability that you find the problem before your customers do.
How engagements run
-
Diagnostic week
One week, one fixed fee. We read the code, talk to your team, and hand you a written plan with scope, estimates, and the risks named. The plan is yours whether or not we build it — taking it to your own team is a perfectly good outcome, and we will say so when that is the cheaper path.
-
Build sprints
Two weeks each, and every one ends with working software you can try yourself. You approve the next sprint or you stop — there is no minimum term after the first. Your engineers review our pull requests from the start, so nothing lands that your team has not seen.
-
Handover
Documentation, runbooks, and a week of paired work so your team can change the system without calling us. We stay reachable afterwards, but the point of the handover is that you rarely need to.
New studio, experienced hands
Plan C Systems is a few months old. The engineers behind it are not.
We started the company because we kept being called in to finish work that a larger shop had already billed for and walked away from. So we would rather be straightforward about where we are today: we are taking on a small number of founding clients, and we would like you to judge us on the diagnostic rather than on a page of case studies.
What a founding client gets
- Our current rate, held for the first full year we work together.
- The people who own the company writing the code — not a bench of juniors behind a senior name.
- A reference call and a public write-up, if the work goes well and you are happy to give one.
- The cost of the diagnostic credited against your first sprint if you decide to build with us.
Ways to work together
- Diagnostic
One week at a fixed fee, ending in a written plan that is scoped, estimated, and honest about the risks. No obligation to continue.
- Build team
Two to four senior engineers working in two-week sprints, billed monthly. You can stop at the end of any sprint.
- Fractional CTO
A few days a month for technical direction, hiring, and architecture review — for when you need the judgement but not yet a full-time lead.
Tell us what stalled.
Send us a paragraph about the project and what went wrong with it. We reply within one business day, and we will tell you plainly if we are not the right team for the work.
